My local Mac OS X setup (MacBook Pro, 17" 2.66 i7 core.)
MacBook Pro, 17" 2.66 i7 core
Seagate 500 GB 7200 RPM Apple factory drive - (had gone with Western Digital 1TB Scorpio Blue but fell out of love with lack of snappy performance (either by drive OR bloated 5 year upgraded OS... will find out when I can erase it and start over like I did with putting back my original hard drive and a brand new OS X 10.6 install.)
MemoryX.com 8gbs of RAM.
I have just about every app ever made, but this time with a fresh install of 10.6 I wanted to keep it as trim and light as possible.
List of (extra) apps:
Agile Web Solutions 1Password
Apple XCode - which I use Dashcode, FileMerge and SimpleText out of it often.
Mamp Pro Import/Export Script (free)
Mozilla Firefox with Firebug extension
Office 2011 (thanks Qualcomm)
Pathfinder --> actually I now prefer TotalFinder
Zennaware Cornerstone (used to use Versions, but they completely failed to implement any branching and merging capability!)
Open source apps (under the hood):
Homebrew OS X Package manager <a href="http://mxcl.github.com/homebrew/" title="http://mxcl.github.com/homebrew/">http://mxcl.github.com/homebrew/</a>
which I used to install:
FFMPEG by using the command: brew install ffmpeg-php
GIT by using the command: brew install git
